Between last Monday and Sunday, Protection Services reported the following incidents:
A total of 10 collisions occurred, six resulting in serious injuries.
Less serious were five general complaints, three traffic obstructions and two parking offences attended to.
Fires dominated call-outs yet again.
Fire Services noted 35 grass fires, along with a vehicle in flames, a transformer burning and a light industrial building on fire.
Another fire was reported at a shack – this was a false call.
On a provincial level, Working on Fire programme responded to 17 fires in KwaZulu-Natal between June 15 and 19.
A total of 13 teams were dispatched in this regard.
