Ladysmith business provides tents for Malawian soldiers

Through the hard work of the Canvas & Tent team, they have laid the foundation for future business with the Malawian Defence Force and various other military organisations globally

The Malawian Defence Force visited local business Canvas & Tent last week Thursday to sign off and approve their recent order. This General Purpose Shelter (12 to 14-man sleeper) was designed to accommodate and protect the defence force against the harsh African climates. Flame-retardant material, which is fully insulated, is used and manufactured to last.

The delegation of 5, proudly led by Lt General Phiri and Secretary of Defence Justin Saidi, signed off and accepted the tents.

Through the hard work of the Canvas & Tent team, they have laid the foundation for future business with the Malawian Defence Force and various other military organisations globally.

Over the last four months, Canvas & Tent has won the local, provincial and national awards for ‘Export of the Year 2014/2015’ and recently received their ISO 14000 accreditation.

The Ladysmith Chamber of Commence was also part of the unveiling ceremony at Canvas & Tent.
