Muhammed is a karateka of the Vryheid Karate Club. Under the dedicated training and supervision of Sensai Dr Nazir Hoosen, Muhammed successfully participated in the Northern KwaZulu-Natal Karate Tournament that was held by the JKA (Japanese Karate Association) on March 22.

After this tournament, Muhammed was selected to participate in the prestigious South African JKA Karate Championships that was held at the Ellis Park Indoor Arena in Johannesburg on June 6. Amidst over a thousand competitors, Muhammed Manjoo and another seven karatekas from Vryheid (mostly ex-pupils of NRS) excelled in their divisions. They were further selected to represent South Africa as part of the South African Team. This team will compete at the Africa All Styles Karate Championships that will be held in Johannesburg on September 23.

The principal and staff of NRS wish them all the best. We are extremely proud of Muhammed’s achievement. Well done and good luck!

We would also like to wish all our learners and their parents a happy winter holiday. Keep warm and please drive safely!
