Man gunned down near Stratford Farm

A case of murder has been opened against a Qomkufa security guard.

A Qomkufa security guard chased down, shot and killed a 36-year-old man with a 9mm in a veld near Stratford Farm.

On the morning of June 6, community members noticed a suspicious individual in Stratford Farm and alerted Qomkufa Security.

The deceased, believed to be from Dlamini Village, was notorious for a number of cases specifically robbing and stealing from a local transport company guarded by Qomkufa Security.

The security guard chased the man into a nearby veld where he shot and killed him. An okapi was found next to the dead body .

It is unclear at this stage whether he was killed in self defence. The security guard was taken into custody on the same day.
