Update: Man shot dead near Roosboom
Numerous shots were fired and rifle shells were found at the scene
The man who was shot dead on Thursday evening near Roosboom has not yet been formally identified by police.
The vehicle he was travelling in, a red Toyota Corolla, was shot at by the occupants of a passing vehicle while travelling on the R103. Numerous shots were fired and rifle shells were found at the scene.
There were 4 occupants in the Corolla at the time of the shooting and 1 died at the scene.
The other 3 occupants were injured in the shooting.
Police say the motive has not been established as yet, and Ladysmith detectives are investigating a case of murder and attempted murder.
