Staff at Pick ‘n Pay Ladysmith went on strike today (Thursday), with most of the staff leaving the premises.
Employees were seen leaving the store and striking outside San Marco Centre.
Signs posted on the glass doors at the entrance to Pick ‘n Pay read: “Attention customers, we apologise for the delays at our till points. Please be advised that we are experiencing an industrial work stoppage/strike. We apologise for the service level currently being offered at this store. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Kind regards, Management.”
The doors leading into Pick ‘n Pay are only half open.
Customers are still shopping, but not all the till points are open due to the lack of staff.
The Pick ‘n Pay clothing store is closed.
