A case of attempted housebreaking is being investigated after a suspect was arrested in Berea Road this morning (Thursday).
A Berea Road resident arrived home to find someone in his garage. Seeing the homeowner arrive, the intruder bolted from the yard and ran away.
Suspecting that the man had been about to break into his property, the resident gave chase and managed to apprehend the suspect in Berea Road. He was then handed over to police.
The 38-year-old suspect was arrested and a case of attempted housebreaking has been opened for investigation.
