Suspected gunman commits suicide

A suspected suicide and attempted murder are under investigation after Wembezi police were called to two separate shooting incidents in Skhonyana Location on Tuesday, May 5.
At first police were informed of a shooting at about 8.30pm. On arrival at the house, they found a male who had sustained a gunshot wound and was injured.
He informed police that he had been shot by a friend who had subsequently fled the scene. The man was rushed to hospital for medical attention.
Later that evening police were called out to a second shooting incident in Skhonyana Location. When police arrived on scene they found a man with a gunshot wound through the right side of his head, he was deceased.
Police investigations on scene established that the deceased had been responsible for the earlier shooting.”Both cases have been opened and police investigations are on-going,” commented police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel TM Mabaso.
