Dr Mark keen to improve rural health

Mark was born and bred in Dundee but attended Uelzen Primary school and matriculated at Sarel Cilliers High school in 2002.

He is a graduate of the University of Pretoria and ready to tackle the rural town of Nquthu.
Doctor Mark van Staden recently opened his own practice at the Nquthu plaza and he says he does not regret making that decision. With ample experience obtained from various health facilities, there is no doubt that Mark will be counted among the best doctors in the Nquthu area.
He is part of the South African Clothing and Textile Workers Union where he voluntary assists the Health Department reach its target on male medical circumcisions. He said the service is offered free of charge to patients over 12 years.

Both his parents, Kevin and Ingrid, are teachers. Kevin is acting principal at Sarel Cilliers High School and Ingrid is at Uelzen Primary. Mark says his goal is to remain in a rural setting and serve the community with quality and affordable health care.
