Wembezi is bustling with service delivery

The Mayor officially opened gymnasium facilities, supplied by the Sport and Recreation Department

R73 million has been set aside to rectify inaccuracies at Wembezi A two room houses. Mayor of Umtshezi Municipality Bongani Dlamini told more than 300 people at the Wembezi Stadium that people will be moved into temporary houses while their homes are rectified.

He said, as he also introduced the contractor, that this is not for new applications but for people who are already on the list.
Mr Dlamini added that a “show house will be built and people should guard against those who steal building material.”

The roads will also be fixed after 17 years – the rectification process will definitely take place with the help of the community, so says the Mayor of uMtshezi Municipality. Mr Dlamini requested that the community respect and tolerate each other and avoid conflict since 2016 local government elections is nearing.

He said “we do need each other”. The site office for the project will be at the Wembezi Library. At the same time, the Mayor officially opened gymnasium facilities, supplied by the Sport and Recreation Department. He said this will help people reduce their weight and manage their health. He thanked the department and passed his condolences to the family of the late Minister Collins Chabane on behalf of the people of Umtshezi.
