Hope High School’s Londathina Ngwenya is going for gold.

Londathina participated in a two-day South African Sport Schools Association (SASSA) Provincial Athletic competition in Durban recently. Not only did she represent the Northern Natal cluster of schools, she came first in the u/11 long jump event.

One of the most talented Hope High School pupils, she embodies the school’s slogan, The Light of The Nation- UkukhanyaKwezwe.

“We are proud of our pupils because they take pride in participating in sport. She will continue to do the school and the region proud!” said principal, Sakkie van der Merwe.

Londathina participated in the SASSA National Primary Schools Track and Field Championships in Gauteng over the weekend. Her results are yet to be disclosed by the school.
