Two arrested in massive drug bust

THE Vryheid SAPS made a great discovery of what they call a “weed garden” in a household at the KwaDanxa area just outside Vryheid today.
According to the police, they were patrolling areas around town as part of their crime prevention duties when they came across this house where a field of marijuana had been planted.
“We approached the home to question them about the dagga and were simply told that no one knew anything about it and that it had simply started growing there so they let it be,” said one of the chief officers who was present during the arrest.
The marijuana is estimated to be worth R250 000.
Two suspects, a male and a female have been charged with drug dealing and will be appearing in court tomorrow.
