Mooi River roads – ‘Save what can be saved’

"It's an absolute nightmare driving on these roads; this is a danger waiting to happen for both drivers and pedestrians"

Mooi River residents decided speak up about the poor state of the town in hope that something may be done without waiting for damage to vehicles or a horrific accident to unfold.

“It’s an absolute nightmare driving on these roads; this is a danger waiting to happen for both drivers and pedestrians,” is the concern among residents. Residents admit to often reminiscing on the days when driving in the town was such a breeze.

“There are way too many potholes and road markings need to be repainted. Road signs are missing. The state of our once beautiful town is taking a turn for the worst,” said a disappointed resident. “It’s shocking to find that parts of the roads no longer have any tar in what is considered an established residential area. Residents plead with the relevant authorities to deal with the matter urgently and “save what can be saved of our roads”.
