BOTH our first team hockey teams participated in a tournament this past weekend.
The First team hockey boys played in the Preseason Tournament at St Dominics. They drew 0-0 to Ferrum, lost 1-0 to Dundee and beat Ladysmith 2-1. They are a very young and inexperienced side, but have great potential. By the end of this season they will be a force to be reckoned with. Well played boys!
The First team hockey girls participated in the ‘Spar Girls Hockey Tournament’ and played very well. They won two of their four games. Well played!
Mnr D Grobbelaar het verlede week (12 – 17 Februarie) aan die SA Platteland Krieketweek deelgeneem. Hy het Mpumalanga verteenwoordig wat teen die einde van die week as wenners aangewys is. Hy was ook in die groep van 25 spelers wat in aanmerking geneem word vir die ‘SA Platteland’ span en was op die eerste dag van die toernooi aangewys as man van die wedstryd. Ons is trots op hom!
Our best wishes accompany Miss J Botha who finishes here at VHS at the end of February. She has accepted a post in Piet Retief. Our sincere appreciation for all your contributions to VHS. Good luck with the new venture.
