Reports over the weekend suggested Newcastle would be the only town to host an air show in the province. The reports are true!
The Newcastle Air Show is in its fifth year running.
During its second year, the Newcastle Air Show became part of the KZN Winter Air tour. Last year, the Winter Air Tour hosted seven shows, interlinking various airports nationwide.
The tour will take a well-deserved break this year, but not to worry, the show will go on. The organisers, Champ Marketing & Events, have booked some of the best aerobatic teams to perform at the show. The community can look forward to some breathtaking new additions this time around.
The organisers urge schools to afford pupils the opportunity to interact with some of the best pilots in South Africa.
The question on everybody’s lips is simply, “Will there be a bigger Boeing than last year?” That question will be answered closer to the time…
