From wheelchairs to wheels for Sam

From a wheelchair to wheels, Sumeer Mungal (also known as Sam the Barber) is on the road to a successful recovery.
Sam has embarked on a long road to recovery and has recently purchased his very own automatic car to speed up the process.
This was after a horror motorcycle accident that took place in July last year. The accident left him and doctors battling between reconstruction and amputation and sadly his left leg had to go.
However, Sam did not let that deter him he remained positive and carried on with life. Sam faced the amputation in October last year but was back to business in December, as he cut hair from home.
In January, he made the miraculous transformation from a wheelchair, to a walker, to crutches and now in February to a motor vehicle. When asked how this new found independence made him feel, he beamed and said, “It was only achieved with God’s blessing.”
Sam further explained how elated he felt when after purchasing the car, he drove it from Pretoria to Villiers himself. Although Sam is now mobile, he still awaits a prosthetic leg that is set to arrive in July.

In the meantime, Sam is operating his barber shop from home and urges his loyal customers to come back. He even changed one of the rooms in his house into a makeshift barbershop. Sam cuts hair by appointment only.
Though the journey to recovery has been long and tedious, Sam perseveres on and is hopeful for the future. He also has once again pledged his support for the upcoming Shavathon that will be held, in conjunction with the Courier, Guinea Fowl and Curry Parlour, on March 21.

Sam attributes his successful recovery to God and to his partner Michall Naidoo. He also wished to thank Michall for her love and support and thanked God for her presence in his life.
