Agra Ground was left in a terrible mess after a school sports event held yesterday (Friday).

The whole ground was littered with plastic bags, bottles and paper cups.

NDCU president Shafi Hoosen was at the ground this morning and was appalled by what he saw.

Municipal officials were contacted this morning so the problem could be attended to.

Litter was strewn along the fences around the cricket ground and also up against adjacent buildings.

“Is this a sports ground or a dump site? Don’t learners participating in sports know the difference?” said one outraged resident.
