LAST week, the municipality placed an official notice in the Vryheid Herald in the form of an Invitation to Tender.
It was placed by the Community Services department for the “Appointment of Consultants for Feasibility and Sustainability Study – Park Rehabilitation”.
Absolutely no further details regarding the tender’s objects were stated.
An e-mail asking for details of the purpose of the tender was sent to the Municipal Manager, the Mayor, the media liaison officer and the municipal records department (which ensures that the request is given a document number, for tracing purposes, and is passed to the relevant department).
At the time of going to press, the request for information had not even received an acknowledgement of receipt.
