Anything but a humble abode

Khulisa Social Solutions' House and Garden Show will take place on February 21 from 10am to 2pm.

Do you want an exclusive look at Newcastle’s most breath-taking homes?

Khulisa Social Solutions’ House and Garden Show will take place on February 21 from 10am to 2pm.

“We are featuring eight homes which, at this stage, are a secret,” said Khulisa Social Solutions’, Paul Bushell.

On the day of the event, ticket holders will meet at 18 Van Schalkwyk Street. Guests will be given a map along with a description of the properties.

“Guests can choose which homes, how many homes and in what order they want to see the homes,” explained Mr Bushell. “The ladies and gentlemen leave from there and move from property to property.”

The homes featured are aesthetically pleasing, creative, inspiring or beautiful.

“The homes and gardens are exquisite!” he exclaimed. “We haven’t chosen homes considered to be ‘perfect’; the homes are interesting and inspiring and that in itself is perfection.”

Tickets are on sale for only R100 and can be purchased directly from Mr Bushell.

“The proceeds of the event will go towards Khulisa’s early childhood development projects throughout the Amajuba District.”

The hosts will be there to greet guests and take them on a short tour of the home. Light refreshments will be served at certain homes.

“It’s going to be really fun!” exclaimed Mr Bushell.

The final stop on House and Garden tour will be Avalon Guest Manor. Guest will be treated to aromatic teas and coffees in Avalon’s charming tea garden.

“The Lazy Cows are offering any person who buys a ticket 25 per cent off an Annie Sloan painting workshop,” concluded Mr Bushell.

The Lazy Cows are proud to associate themselves with such a creative and charitable event on Newcastle’s social calendar.
