UPDATE: One injured in N11 accident
ER24 transported the patient to hospital for further treatment. The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
According to earlier reports, a vehicle travelling on the N11 towards Newcastle rolled down an embankment.
This, however, is not the case according to ER24 Newcastle Paramedic, Myra van der Merwe.
The driver of the vehicle allegedly lost control of the vehicle and ploughed down the embankment.
“The vehicle did not overturn,” she said. “It went straight over the fence and came to stop.”
ER24 transported one patient with minor injuries to hospital for further treatment.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this stage.
