No serious injuries in four-car fiasco
The collision involved a taxi, two light motor vehicles and a bakkie and took place on the corner of Allen and Murchison streets.
The occupants of the four vehicles involved in a collision on Monday afternoon will be counting themselves lucky as not a single passenger walked away with a serious injury.
The collision involved a taxi, two light motor vehicles and a bakkie and took place on the corner of Allen and Murchison streets.
Allegedly, the driver of the taxi lost control of his vehicle as he travelled along Allen Street in the direction of Scott Street.
“He veered off into the oncoming lane and smashed into the bakkie,” said a witness.
An official source from ER24 explained that the taxi thereafter continued and stopped after hitting a car which was behind the bakkie.
The fourth car was involved when the driver was unable to avoid the collision scene.
“There were no injuries, which was quite surprising. It seemed like it was just bumper bashing,” said the source.
Traffic and police officials were on the scene to control the traffic while wreckage was cleared before rush hour.
