On November 28 the GET Directorate held their third GET Excellence Awards at the Ladysmith Town Hall, to honour quality teaching and learning within the Uthukela District. The District Director, Mr MJ Mazibuko, delivered a keynote address. As a main sponsor, dignitaries from Old Mutual were present to deliver inspiring words.
Mrs MP Adam a grade six Mathematics educator received the best performance certificate in Mathematics and a grade six mathematics learner, Zenzomuhle Mkhonza secured third position and received a certificate too. Phumelelani Primary School, from the Loskop circuit, emerged victorious by obtaining first place in the Special District Category. The school would like to applaud learners, SGB, parents and teaching Personnel. The school received a trophy and R1 500 from Old Mutual.
