Special council meeting goes into committee
Public still in the dark regarding report.
The special council meeting which was to table a report into fraud and misconduct at the municipality has gone into committee.
Endumeni Municipality Speaker, Cllr Mdluli said that the report contained sensitive information and mentioned names of employees and therefore could not be released to the public as yet.
He said that the matter needed to be discussed in council first and that the recommendations made by COGTA, needed to followed.
These recommendations included involving the SAPS and taking legal action against the employees mentioned.
Cllr Mdluli said that once council had discussed the matter they would make the contents of the report public.
