Newcastle’s practical shooting champs

Police officers from the KwaZulu-Natal cluster participated in the national Practical Pistol Shooting championship in Oudtshoorn recently.

Police officers from the KwaZulu-Natal cluster participated in the national Practical Pistol Shooting championship in Oudtshoorn recently.

The KZN men’s A and B teams were second and fourth respectively, whereas the women’s team was victorious, placing first overall.

Warrant Officer Meyer, Lieutenant Colonel Oberholzer and Captain Stoop obtained excellent results.

Lieutenant Colonel Oberholzer for Newcastle War Room was placed second in the Stage 1 and first in the Stage 9.

Captain Stoop of Madadeni SAPS obtained the following results: Stage 3– First place, Stage 4– Second place, Stage 6– First Place, Stage 7– Third Place, Stage 9– First Place, Stage 10– Second place.

Warrant Officer Meyer from the Newcastle K9 Unit was placed first in the Stage 1.

Captain Stoop was crowned the overall female winner of the competition.

Their respective offices congratulate them on their outstanding achievement and undying commitment to the police force.
