Pick ‘n Win robbery suspects appear in court

Eleven men today appeared in the Dundee Magistrates Court in connection with Sunday’s horror shoot-out at Pick ‘n Win Supermarket.

Michael Zondi, Tholinhlanhla Mlambo, Thamsanqa Thwala, Derick Zwane, Nelson Molefe, Thobela Khumalo, Jabu Ncube, Mandla Dumakude, Themba Ndlovu, Sanele Mngoma and Thulani Mazibuko are charged with armed robbery and attempted murder.

Ten men were arrested following Sunday’s attempted armed robbery, while the eleventh, an inyanga from Mondlo was arrested yesterday.

Some of the suspects asked for legal aid representation while the others said they would represent themselves.

The matter has been postponed till November 4.
