BREAKING NEWS: Two Newcastle girls missing

Mariska Booysen and Cleopatra Rabie have been missing since early this morning.

Two 15-year-old Newcastle girls have been missing since early this morning.

Cleopatra Rabie and Mariska Booysen did not attend school today and were last seen leaving Ferrum High School grounds.

According to information received from the Newcastle SAPS, the girls were last seen in a maroon hatchback headed away from the school.

Mariska has dark brown hair while Cleopatra is blonde.

It is believed one of the girls contacted a 21-year-old man from Ladysmith this morning. However, a letter left behind by one of the girls claimed they would be headed to Pretoria.

Reports of Ferrum High School clothes being found early this morning have circulated on social media. The clothes have been positively identified as belonging to Cleopatra. However, no blood was found on the garments as unconfirmed reports suggested. The clothing was identified by her guardian.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these two girls, please contact Constable Zama Cele on 083 5935 049.

We will keep you updated as the story develops.
