eDumbe killers given life

Two men will be serving two life sentences each for killing an elderly couple from Paulpietersburg.
Khulekani Vezi and Muzikawubongwa Hlatshwayo were convicted of assault, robbery and murder and sentenced today in the Vryheid Magistrates Court.
Eighty-year-old Thumela Nkosi and his 75-year-old wife Agnes, were attacked in their home two years ago.
“It is alleged that during 2012 at the Paulpietersburg area the couple were in their house when they were approached by the two suspects who allegedly killed them and robbed them of their jewellery as well as their clothing,” the police’s Thulani Zwane said.
The two were also handed 15 year sentences for robbery.
