Newcastle – Possible Ebola patient at Madadeni Hospital tests negative

A patient who was admitted to Madadeni Hospital on Friday, tested negative for the Ebola disease.

A patient presenting symptoms similar to those of the Ebola disease was admitted to Madadeni Hospital on Friday.

According to sources, paramedics had brought the patient to Madadeni Provincial Hospital under the impression the patient was displaying symptoms of Ebola.

However, it has been confirmed the patient tested negative for the disease.

It is believed the hospital took every precaution to ensure the safety of all staff and other patients. Unconfirmed reports claim the patient had recently returned from an African country.

The whereabouts of the patient is currently unknown. However, sources assured the Newcastle Advertiser the patient did not have Ebola.
