THE rain is falling and we are celebrating this wondrous indication of the blessings that are coming the way of Landbou High School this term!
We welcome you all back after a deserved break. Everybody is full of energy and all systems go for the November examination preparations.
Firstly, a word of encouragement to the Matric class of 2014. Guys, we wish you the best of luck for the final examinations starting on October 20.
Matric Farewell: The Matric Farewell took place on October 2. What a spectacular and glamorous evening it was! The function was held in the school hall. Mr Deon Nigrini went to great lengths and the school hall was beautifully draped and decorated to suit the African theme. He also prepared a most delicious and impressive dinner.
Our Matrics were elegantly dressed in stylish evening wear.
The Grade 11 class hosted the event, with the highlight of the evening being the two traditional items presented by the Grade 11’s. You guys were awesome!
A sincere word of thanks to Mr C van Wyk and Miss Liani Lourens for the effort you put into raising funds for this occasion.
Thank you also, to Deon Harris of Habitat, for the photographs you took at the Matric Farewell. You excelled yourself sir.
So true, the motto Mrs A van Niekerk, our honorable principle abides by: “Here at Landbou we go for gold and we grow tall trees.”
On Friday, October 17, we are having the annual prizegiving ceremony. We cordially invite our parents and guardians to attend this function, which will be held in the school hall. The function will start at 10:00am. We are looking forward to having our parents and the guardians in our company.
Quote for the week: “Mag ons almal Daniël se geloof en al Salomo se wysheid geniet, geseën met Jesus se Liefde.”
