IEC pupils become entrepreneurs for a day

Pupils ranging from Grade 4 to 9 participated in the day’s activities

The Islamic Educational Centre (IEC) held an eventful ‘Entrepreneurs Day’ on Thursday. Pupils ranging from Grade 4 to 9 participated in the day’s activities. Cola tonic, popcorn, sweets and chips were a few of the products on sale.

The children should be acknowledged for their creativity and efforts, as they were spontaneous enough to offer hand massages at a small cost. The gloomy and cloudy weather played its part well, as the Entrepreneurs Day was open to the public, and visitors enjoyed munching on fresh corn and hot chips.

The day was a form of assessment for the learners in their respective grades, as they were judged on their business management, customer interaction, as well as their ability to market their products correctly.

It was a good day on the whole, and an educational opportunity enjoyed by the many young and bright businessmen and businesswomen at the IEC!
