Truck flattens fence, wall
High drama on Victoria Street last night as monster truck runs out of control
A runaway coal truck smashed through a palisade fence and a wall adjacent to TFS Wholesalers on Victoria Street at around 7.30pm last night.
Miraculously, no one was injured. Â Witnesses said the truck had broken down and the driver had inadvertently parked the truck at a right angle, partially blocking traffic.
Later, the truck, with a North West registration number, started rolling towards TFS. Â A brick wall and a palisade fence were flattened. Â Fortunately, the driver’s cab hit the roof of the building that brought the truck to a sudden stop – leaving behind a trial of destruction.
Residents have been complain about trucks something must be done to avoid this in future.
