Helping Heidi’s German dream come true

Heidi Wichmann is an enthusiastic Grade 11 learner from Dundee High School. This fortunate young lady has been chosen for an exchange programme in Germany for four weeks in December.

Heidi is in need of funds to be able to pay for her airline ticket to Germany; she also needs warm clothes (thermo socks, vests, gloves, scarves and shoes) and spending money. “I’m very excited and scared,” she said shyly.

This 17-year-old lives with her mom and dad on Mpati mountain, and enjoys cycling and horse riding. She is currently doing some fundraising by selling R20 raffle tickets where you stand a chance of winning one of two blackbuck (you can hunt it yourself, or it can be done for you).

Spur hosted an Oktoberfest on September 22, in aid of Heidi’s trip, which was considered to be a great success. The raffle tickets are available at Farmtrac Dundee as well as a sponsor sheet from the school: contact Carmen or Inge from Farmtrac Dundee on 034 212 4045.
