MUNICIPAL workers have taken to throwing rubbish onto the streets all around town as a means to voice their anger.
Following the disappearance of all Executive Council Members in the municipal buildings, the workers became very angry.
There have also been rumours that water and electricity in town will be shut down, although this has not yet been confirmed.
According to the workers, they have been trying to get hold of the Municipal Administrator Mr T Manda since early last week but he is not answering their calls.
“No one in the ECM is available to address our matters and they are all currently not in their offices,” said one of the disgruntled municipal workers.
As the strike continues, it is starting to take a terrible toll on service delivery, as waste is not being collected.
Those who need to use public library facilities as well as those who have municipal enquiries will have to wait.
No one knows how long.
