Stonehenge in South Africa?

Abadoned homestead could have been inspired by Stonehenge.

South Africa now has its very own Stonehenge and it’s situated here in Northern Kwazulu-Natal.

Stonehenge, a legendary prehistoric monument located in England, is the remains of a ring of standing stones which is always a cause for debate.

There are numerous theories as to what the purpose of Stonehenge is.

Tour guide, Mike Nel came across an abandoned homestead between Nquthu and Blood River which has huge rocks placed neatly outside the buildings.

It is not clear what the purpose of the rocks are, or why the owner left the area.

It seems that the same mystery that surrounds Stonehenge now surrounds the one in Nquthu as well.
