Shoba welcomes Heritage Month

SPRING definitely proved to have sprung at the Shoba Cultural Day on Saturday, September 6 at the Shoba area of AbaQulusi.
Dressed in their bright coloured traditional regalia, young people from all around Vryheid put their best feet forward with performances ranging from Maskandi, Indlamu all the way through to poetry.
The event, which was organised by Bongani Mthethwa, Ncamsile Masondo, Zothile Nkosi and Nathi Madonsela, was organised in order to mark the opening of Heritage Month and to encourage young people to embrace their cultures.
Event organisers would like to thank amaPhika Nkani, Abafana Base Shoba, Slindelo Group, New Fashion, Vitamin Nene, Fakude and Abafana bakaNduku who all made the event a great success.
