Suspects arrested in connection with gym owner’s death

Two suspects were arrested yesterday (Monday) in connection with the death of 44-year-old gym owner Mr Uraj ‘Joe’ Ahir.

Mr Ahir’s body was found lying in bed at his home in Oswald Rapson Road on Monday, April 7.

After a postmortem investigation was conducted, it was determined that he had sustained injuries consistent with an assault. A case of murder was opened and an investigation into his death began.

On Monday night, police officers attached to Ladysmith Detective Services and the Ladysmith K9 Unit arrested two suspects, aged 23 and 36, in the Hillside area of Ladysmith. The two are set to appear in court soon on charges of murd
