Homegrown talent impresses Idols judges

She describes her Idols experience as 'fantastic', explaining that her final performance during theatre week was highly specialised and the contestants worked with professional vocal coaches

Mooi River born Chloe Clark’s recent performances on Idols has been the perfect platform for the 25-year-old to launch her solo career. Chloe soared above the thousands of Idols hopefuls when she auditioned and was among the final 30 before she was voted out.

The bubbly young woman grew up in Mooi River where she attended Treverton College. When she was 15 the family relocated to Weenen. When Chloe matriculated, she studied Jazz at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban.
She describes her Idols experience as ‘fantastic’, explaining that her final performance during theatre week was highly specialised and the contestants worked with professional vocal coaches. Performing One Republic’s Apologise, Chloe received positive feedback from the judges Grareth Cliff and Unathi Msengana with “odd, unhappy comments” from Randall Abrahams.

“Idols was a great platform for to me to launch my solo career and I have gained many followers around the country. It was a nerve-wrecking experience but a fantastic one too,” said Chloe. Chloe is working performer and music teacher based in Durban and describes herself as a jazz vocalist.
