Police impersonators steal R14 500, laptops and cellphones

Police urge the community to be aware of criminals pretending to be police officers.

Two male police impersonators wearing bulletproof vests entered a house in Pioneer Park and stole R14 500 cash, seven cellphones and a laptop.

If unsure whether or not people are police officers, contact the police station before allowing them onto your property or into your home.

Keeping your gate and doors locked at all times allows you to screen who enters your home. Never leave your keys in the door. To the best of your ability, make it difficult for people to gain access to your property and home.
