Correctional Services honours its women

Entertainment was provided and the audience enjoyed songs performed by talented ladies

As part of ongoing Women’s Month celebrations, the Correctional Services of the Glencoe Management Area held a lunch at Tusker’s Bed & Breakfast on Wednesday for its dedicated female staff.

The conference room was set up stunningly in blue, and the guest list consisted of a majority of ladies who looked positively dashing.

There were a host of interesting talks and presentations, such as a PowerPoint presentation by optometrist Dr Somai Pillay. She enlightened the many guests on the different aspects of eyes and the problems they need to be aware of. Entertainment was also provided and the audience enjoyed songs performed by some talented ladies. The  keynote address was delivered by Pastor Mbali.

The theme for the event was ‘Moving women’s agendas forward’ and a continuation of the Women’s Day celebration which was held earlier this month at provincial level in Pietermaritzburg.

It was a fun and relaxing day for all, and each guest left happily with a goodie bag as their treat.
