Sewing adventure at Naunton’s

The idea of this annual get-together is to learn all aspects of Pfaff sewing and embroidery machines

Residents from areas such as Ladysmith, Harrismith, Johannesburg and Durban have gathered together this week at Naunton’s  Guest House for their annual sewing and embroidery adventure.

The idea of this annual get-together is to learn all the aspects of the Pfaff sewing and embroidery machines. In addition to this, the keen sewing enthusiasts completed projects that are both useful and exciting.  There was also a small exhibition featuring new Pfaff products.

Rienie Jerling of Albetron said that she enjoys the sewing week because it is fun. “It is a great experience of sharing our knowledge and it’s lovely being here with all the other ladies,” she said.

Local Pfaff dealer Monica Powell runs monthly classes to ladies who have acquired Pfaff machines. These classes are project-based, as she believes this is the best way to learn all apects of these computerised machines.

The programme will conclude this evening (Thursday) with a dinner and an entertaining prize-giving ceremony.
