According to sources, two men were arrested on Sunday and appeared in the Newcastle Magistrate’s Court yesterday, on charges of child molestation.
Reportedly one of the suspects is in his early forties while the second suspect, his father, is a pensioner. Both of the men remain in custody.
It is believed the men repeatedly molested two young girls, the suspect’s daughters, for a number of years. Allegedly, one of the victims spoke out to a family member, who alerted the police. The girls are believed to be between the ages of 17 and 20.
The exact circumstances surrounding the charges remain unclear at this stage. However, updated reports will be published as the story unfolds.
