Cattle die in horror accident – WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES

At least six cattle are dead after a horror accident on the N11 this afternoon. The cattle were being transported on the back of the truck when it overturned.
It is believed that several of the cattle were shot dead by law enforcement officers, as they were severely injured.
So far, the animal death toll is six.
What caused the accident is not known at this stage, but it is believed that several of the cattle were trapped under the vehicle when the truck rolled onto its side. This left officers with little choice but to humanely put the cattle down.
A bystander claims to have heard several gunshots coming from the van shortly after law enforcement officers arrived.
