Motorists should expect traffic delays in town while the Gun-Run and Military Parade are taking place.
The International Gun-Run will be taking place on Thursday, June 12, followed by a Military Parade on Saturday, June 14.
The Gun-Run will start at 10am and should be finished by 3pm. The teams will push an anti-aircraft machine gun from the Town Hall down to Wimpy.
They will then turn around, go all the way up Murchison Street, turn left into Egerton Road and left into Cochrane Road. They will then proceed down Francis Road, turn left into Berea Road, left into Convent Road and then down Murchison Street and finish in front of the Town Hall.
The Military Parade on Saturday will ‘form up’ at the Game parking area, go up Murchsion Street and have the actual parade in front of the Town Hall. From there, they will proceed back to the Game parking area, where they will disperse. Motorists should expect traffic delays in town while the Gun-Run and Military Parade are taking place. Public Safety officers will be there to ensure the free flow of traffic, the safety of teams and other road users during the course of the Gun-Run.
