Frantic search for three missing boys

Courier readers: police help these three families find their loved ones

Parents of thre 12-year-old boys are tonight waiting anxiously for news of their missing sons.

The boys, all pupils at Dundee Junior, were reported missing this afternoon after failing to be at their usual stop where one of the boys’ mothers picks them up outside the school.

A search discovered their schools bags in a toilet with a note allegedly claiming that ‘we are sick of school’ and are ‘running away’.

The boys were identified as Chad Nel (whose dad is a dedicated police officer in Dundee), Dwayne Machill and Adrian van der Walt.

The school is busy with exams at the moment but teachers said they had finished writing their tests before ‘going missing’.

Police told the Courier shortly before 7pm tonight that the dog unit has been asked to help track the boys.
