Residents of Aloe Park and the surrounding areas, plus Cannon Road in the Hospital Park area, were without water yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
People were complaining that they did not receive any notification from uThukela to warn them that their water supply would be turned off. Also, no water tankers were dispatched to help them with the situation.
Those affected had to battle with ‘dry taps’ until late afternoon.
According to uThukela, there was a problem at the pump station. One valve was out of order. Repairs were carried out and the water supply was back on sometime after 4pm in the afternoon.
