THERE’S a cold front coming this weekend, with daytime temperatures predicted to drop below ten degrees on Friday.

The cold front, which has swept across parts of the country, will reach Vryheid on Friday, bringing with it our first real taste of Winter. Although the mercury will drop quite substantially after the heavy rainfall predicted for Thursday evening across KwaZulu Natal, temperatures look set to recover slightly from Saturday. Motorists are advised to be cautious when travelling over this period, as the roads may be slippery.

Light snowfall is also a possibility over high lying areas, including the Drakensberg, from as early as Friday.
