Uelzen’s Grade 7s enjoy amazing Berg tour

Uelzen school enjoys the mountain air of the Berg

After a two hour journey on Monday, May 12 the Uelzen Primary Grade 7 class, together with Mr Raffenberg and Mrs D, found themselves in the majestic mountains of the central Drakensberg.
What a comfortable ride it was in the new school bus, with Mr Lauwrens at the helm!

The hosts from Berg Ventures organised an amazing three days of activities, including a waterfall hike, horse-riding, abseiling off a cliff, a visit to Dingaan’s cave to view San paintings and many fun team games.
A visit to Falconridge was also enjoyed, and the concert of the Drakensberg Boys’ Choir was a fitting ending to an amazing tour.
What a wonderful experience it was, and one the Grade 7s will cherish and look back on as a highlight of 2014.
