A bystander said the man had just been dropped off by a taxi and was crossing the road when the car hit him
A pedestrian was hit by a car tonight (Saturday) along the R103 near the RTI offices.
A bystander said the man had just been dropped off by a taxi and was crossing the road when the car hit him. ER24 and Sharaj Ambulance Services, together with police and RTI, rushed to the scene. The accident victim was seriously injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Police have commented that, “It is alleged that a pedestrian suddenly ran across the roadway. The driver of a maroon Polo Classic was unable to avoid the pedestrian. The man (28) sustained head injuries and was rushed to hospital.”
