Vryheid High School: Learning as we play

UNDER THE supervision of their new coach, Miss M Galt, six VHS pupils were selected to play in the final trials for the u/14 girls hockey regional team in Pietermaritzburg.
The following girls made the team: C Lombard; S Hibbert; A Slump; M Connibear; A Strydom and M Filter. Congratulations to these girls – Well done!
P Keeve and D Aspden were also selected for the Rugby Northern Regional Team and will play trials for the KZN u/18 team soon. Congratulations and good luck!
We played our wintersport league games against Ferrum on Saturday, May 17. Unfortunately their netball teams were involved in trials, so no netball games were played.
Congratulations to the first and second rugby teams who won their games.
Rugby: u/14A 0 – 64; u/15A 14 – 34; Second 3 – 0 and First 17 – 15. Girls’ Hockey: u/14A 0 – 2; u/16A 0 – 5; Second 0 – 2 and First 1 – 4. Boys’ Hockey: First 0-0 and Second 1 – 1. Chess: 1-6.
