How the DA did at elections
The DA will continue to work hard amongst all South Africans
After the much-awaited general elections, the Ladysmith Gazette asked DA Member of Parliment Mr Alf Lees how the DA feels about its preformance. Here is his reply:
The DA is very happy with its performance nationally, but particularly in KZN where we have become the official opposition. We are also particulary pleased in the Uthukela district, where the DA has seen significant growth amongst isiZulu speaking voters. The negative ANC campaign against the DA failed to resonate with many voters and voters are more and more seeing the DA as an alternative to the ANC that delivers services to all our people where the DA governs.
The DA will continue to work hard amongst all South Africans in order to grow our support to take over government from the ANC.
